Well what can I say except wow wow wow, what a fantastic couple of days I have had in Germany at the 2012 Stampin Up Convention.  The first highlight was making it there! (I don't do the flying thing!!) the next was the hotel and room which was amazing.  In fact everything was amazing so I wont list it all as you may get a tad bored!!

I met Shelli Gardener our co-founder and CEO, she was lovely and I had my photo taken with her and thought you would like to see it.

I made 200 swaps using the new sponges, post it notes and the new set Serene Silhouettes, and i swapped all of them, therefore bringing back 200 fantastic new ideas.

Back soon with next swaps.

Tuesday 6 November 2012

Hello everyone,  well as promised here are photos of the projects I made for an inspiration table at Amanda Fowlers quarterly training day.  The theme I went for was Anniversaries.

This is the first an exploding box for a 25th (Silver) Anniversary.

The second was for a 40th (Ruby) Anniversary, I made this to look like a book so that all the detail inside the main section could be stuck to the concertina section to give more depth.

The third one is for a 60th (Diamond) Anniversary which is a basket made from the petal cone bigz die, this was then filled with flowers made from vellum and then decorated with rhinestones.

The last idea for the 50th (Golden) Anniversary came from the internet, and it is a 3 tiered cake made from wedge boxes, and the idea is that you make enough wedges for your guests, pieces of cake are placed in the boxes and at the end of the evening everyone gets there own box to take home!  The flowers were made from different punches and stamp sets.

The Roses were made using the ornament punch, and the freesias were made from build a blossom stampset and punch.

The smaller flowers were made from the Blossom punch scrunched up and held together with an antique brad.

3D Flowers

Here is a selection of 3d flowers I have made from the Blossom Petals Builder punch and the Build a Blossom stamp set.

The first one here was the fuchsia.  The cardstock colours are Rose Red, Pretty in Pink and Certainly celery.  For the outer petals and the leaves I used the 3rd largest punch on the Blossoms Petals Builder.  The middle of the flower is the 2nd largest punch.

The second flower is a freesia, all these petals were stamped using the Build a Blossom stamp set and punched out using the 3rd largest petal on the Blossoms Petal Builder punch.  I used green garden wire for the stem and wrapped it in ribbon, the leaves were cut freehand.

The third flower I made was the Sweet pea, and this was the easiest, using the largest petal punch, and the 3rd largest for part of the flower and the leaves.  These were all attached to a kebab stick.

40th Anniversay

These three pictures show a very special box card that I made for a friends 40th Wedding Anniversary.  I used Very Vanilla for the basic box card and then decorated it with Twitterpatted paper and some brushed silver.  Inside the concertinaed section of the card I put a paper flower some leaves and the 40 from the big shot alphabet simple numbers.  A very simple but effective card to make.

Quarterly Training Swap

Swap for Reading

This was the swap I took to Reading, my first stamping up event which was fantastic. Cardstock used was Lucky Limeade and Very Vanilla, the stamp set was the Tea Shoppe.  I used Wisteria Wonder ink pad for the three tea cups and Lucky Limeade ink pad for the sentiment, which was punched out with the word window punch.

To give the flowers more depth I used three marker pens Perfect Plum, Bashful Blue and Wild Wasabi, these were then finished off with three of the medium sized pearls.

Wedding Stationery

This set was made for  a friends wedding present.  She choose Island Indigo as her main colour, then brushed silver and whisper white for the layers.  The favour box was made using Island Indigo card stock, Boho blossom punch, Rhinestones and the words were punched out using the decorative lables punch.

Wedding card & Money Card

These were made for a friend who wanted a simple matching wedding card and a money envelope.  They were made using a base card of whisper white and the brushed silver card.  The top note die and the elegant bouquet embossing folder were put through the Big Shot.  Punches used are Decorative lable punch and the eyelet boarder punch.  The stamp is from the Easy Events set and then the card was finished using whisper white satin ribbon  and pearls.

Autumn leaves

I made this card using whisper white cardstock and a home made baby wipe ink pad using elegant eggplant, always artichoke  and more mustard drops of ink.  The stamp set used is French Foliage.  After stamping the leaves I cut them out and stuck them on over pear pizzazz seam binding ribbon using stampin up dimensionals. The Birthday Wishes sentiment was punched out using the Decorative lable punch.

Sympathy Card

This  card was made using vanilla cardstock as the base card, then on a square of chocolate chip I embossed a design using the black embossing powder, then using the distressing tool I went all aroung the brown square.  The finishing touch is a black ribbon and a sentiment set on the large and scolloped oval.

One Colour Card

This card I made as a make and take.  I have used Lucky Limeade, Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock, the flower stamp is from the Simple Soft set (Hostess Gift), and the sentiment is from Oval All punched out with the large oval punch.  I stamped the flower with black stazon ink and then coloured it in with Lucky Limeade ink pad using a blender pen.  I finished off by highlighting the petals with dazzling diamonds glitter.

staggered car

This card was designed using Indigo Island, Basic Black and Brushed Silver cardstock. Using Black embossing powder I embossed three images of the car from the Need for Speed stamp set and one of the sentiments from Happiest Birthday Wishes (hostess gift). Each image of the car was cut out at slightly different places and then mat and layered on squares of cardstock. The finishing touch is two Rhinestones in each corner.
